# Block the AI Coach Bot from specific meetings

> Keep the AI Coach Bot out of meetings with specific clients, for your whole company or just for you.

A Blocklist is a list of email addresses and domains the AI Coach Bot never records. When anyone on the list is invited to a meeting, the bot stays out, whatever your recording preferences say.

| List | Who manages it | Who it applies to |
| - | - | - |
| **Company Blocklist** | Company admins, in **Settings** > **Organization** > **Recording policy** | Everyone at the company |
| **Personal Blocklist** | Each member, in **Settings** > **Personal** > **Meeting bot** | Only that member |

<Note>
  Members can't see what's on the Company Blocklist. A meeting it blocks shows **Blocked by company policy**.
</Note>

## Entry formats

| Entry | Blocks meetings with |
| - | - |
| `acme.com` | Anyone with an `@acme.com` email address |
| `jane@acme.com` | That one person |

One per line, or paste a list separated by commas. To also cover addresses like `@sales.acme.com`, add `*.acme.com`.

## Good to know

* You can't block your own company. To skip internal meetings, use [recording preferences](/ai-coach-bot/recording-preferences).
* The bot checks who is invited, not who shows up. Someone who joins without an invite is still recorded.
* A shared inbox like `sales@acme.com` only blocks that address. Block `acme.com` to cover the people behind it.
* Only the bot is affected. Uploads, phone calls and recordings imported from other tools are never checked.
* Changes apply to upcoming meetings right away. Remove an entry and its meetings follow the normal rules again.
