Standard automations usually trigger when a meeting ends. But, not every meeting is the same. With Deal Insights, you can move beyond generic triggers and create laser-focused automations based on the actual content of the conversation.

Whether you want to update a "Competitor" field in your CRM, alert a manager via Slack about a specific objection, or adjust a lead score based on a mentioned pain point, Deal Insights makes it possible.

Common Use Cases

  • Competitor Tracking: Automatically update a CRM field when a specific competitor (e.g., Acme or John Deere) is mentioned.

  • Lead Scoring: Increase a lead’s priority score if they mention a "must-have" feature or a specific budget range.

  • Product Feedback: Send a Slack notification to the Product team whenever a specific feature request is detected.

  • Objection Handling: Trigger a follow-up email sequence or internal alert when a common sales objection is raised.

How to set up a Deal Insight Automation

1. Start your Automation

Go to the Automations section of Triple Session and create a new workflow.

2. Configure the "Meeting Finished" Event

Choose Meeting Finished as your trigger. In the event settings:

  • Select your Scorecard: Choose the specific scorecard you want to pull insights from (e.g., Discovery).

  • Apply Filters: You can still apply standard filters like meeting duration or score.

3. Add Advanced Filters for Deal Insights

This is where the magic happens.

  • Click on the Advanced Filters section.

  • Select the Deal Insights tab.

  • Match When: Choose between "AND" (all filters must match) or "OR" (any filter can match).

  • Define the Insight: * Deal Insight: Select the specific insight you want to track (e.g., Competitors).

    • Operator: Choose "Contains," "Does not contain," etc.

    • Values: Type the specific keywords or values you are looking for (e.g., Acme, John Deere).

4. Define the Action

Once the filter is set, choose what should happen when those conditions are met:

  • Update CRM: Map the insight directly to a field in HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.

  • Slack/Email: Send a real-time alert to a specific channel or user.

  • Zapier: Send the data to 1,000+ other apps for custom workflows.

Pro Tip: Cleaner CRM Data

By using the "Contains" operator with Deal Insights, you ensure that your CRM is only updated when relevant information is actually discussed. This prevents your CRM from being cluttered with empty fields or "N/A" values from every single meeting, keeping your pipeline data clean and actionable.
