We know it can be frustrating when the recording bot leaves a meeting unexpectedly, whether it was accidentally removed or left for another reason.
This feature gives you a powerful safety net to get a bot back into any call, instantly.
This is great for several situations:
Ensure meeting continuity: If everyone rejoins a previous meeting link, you can now add the bot again.
Quickly recover from accidental kicks: If a participant mistakenly removes the bot from the call, you can bring it back in seconds.
Gain recording flexibility: Decide to record a meeting on the fly, even if your settings would normally exclude it (like recurring or internal meetings).
Here's how to it works:
Step 1: Copy the meeting link
While in your meeting on platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams, find and copy the unique meeting invitation link or URL.
Step 2: Navigate to your home page
Go to your home page. Click on 'Invite bot to meeting' button.
Step 3: Paste the link and send the invite
In the dialog box, paste the meeting link into the URL field. Click Invite.
A new bot will request to join your meeting within a minute.
π‘ Important: This method creates a brand new bot instance to join your call.
β
Because it joins via a public link, it cannot access the original participant list from the calendar invite. As a result, automatic deal matching and data pushing to your CRM may not function for these recordings.
Best practices
Use it as a recovery solution: For the best data quality and CRM integration, continue to rely on your automatic recording rules. Use the link invite for emergencies or one-off exceptions.
Perfect for on-the-fly recording: Decided midway through an internal call that the conversation is too important to lose? This is the perfect way to start recording meetings that are normally excluded by your settings.
