Not every call should be judged. An internal sync, a gatekeeper call, or a stage your team has no process for yet can still be worth recording and reviewing, but a score on it is noise: it drags down averages and makes reps anxious about calls that were never meant to be graded. An unscored scorecard reviews calls exactly like any other scorecard. AI Coach still answers every criterion and extracts every insight. The difference is that its reports never show a score and never count toward performance.

What changes on an unscored scorecard

An unscored report is never shown as a score of 0. Where a score would appear, you see an Unscored mark instead. The score is hidden everywhere it could show up: call reports, report lists and search, exports, the API, the MCP server, AI chats, and report-ready emails. Report-ready emails also drop the coaching plan.

In analytics

Unscored reports never enter averages, rankings, benchmarks, Training Focus, or development plans, so they can’t pull anyone’s numbers up or down. They still count as activity, so the calls a rep recorded and had reviewed stay visible. The scorecard keeps its own page in analytics. There you can see how often it was used and how each criterion went across its calls, without a score attached.

In the editor

Weights and section skills are hidden on the Criteria tab, because without a score they have no effect. Skippable conditions still work: a criterion that doesn’t apply to a call is skipped instead of marked Not met.

Making a scorecard unscored

1

Open the scorecard

Go to Settings > Team > Scorecards and click Edit on a custom scorecard.
2

Turn on Unscored scorecard

On the Details tab, switch Unscored scorecard on.
3

Confirm

The confirmation shows how many reports from the last 90 days lose their score and how many skill mappings are paused. Click Make unscored.
The change takes effect immediately and doesn’t wait for you to save the rest of the scorecard. It is recorded in the scorecard’s Change History.
Only custom and company scorecards can be unscored. Templates, including General Conversation, always produce a score. To get an unscored version of a template, ask support@triplesession.com for a custom copy. You need the Edit scorecards permission to change this setting — see Company Permissions.

It applies to every report, past and future

Being unscored is a property of the scorecard, not of each report. Turning it on hides the score on every report that uses the scorecard, including ones reviewed before the change. Nothing is re-reviewed or deleted. That makes the change fully reversible. Switch Unscored scorecard off and click Make scored: every report gets its score back, the reports count toward analytics again, and the skill mappings that were paused come back as they were.

Changing a report to an unscored scorecard

When you use Change scorecard on a report and pick an unscored scorecard, the report loses its score and leaves performance analytics. Because that changes someone’s numbers, it needs its own permission: Change to an unscored scorecard. Admins and managers have it by default, and admins can change who has it on Settings > Organization > Permissions. Changing a report from an unscored scorecard to a scored one only needs the regular Change scorecard permission.

When to use an unscored scorecard

  • Internal meetings — team syncs, pipeline reviews, and one-on-ones you still want recorded and searchable.
  • Short or catch-all calls — gatekeepers and quick calls that don’t follow a playbook.
  • A stage with no process yet — track what happens on these calls before you decide what good looks like.
